In the latest report by the NeuroGadget, the latest WhatsApp Update that features the Rio Olympics rings are actually categorized under Sports in the Android emojis also primarily because they are considered as stickers. If you are an Android user, finding the Rio Olympics rings is as simple as tapping the icon on the keyboard, press send and it's good to go.
Unfortunately for iOS users, the process is more difficult and needs sometime to follow through. The WhatsApp Update that feature the Rio Olympic rings in iOS requires the owner to type the symbol sequence ◯◯◯◯◯ and press send in order to activate the Olympic rings. If that doesn't work, then you might need to copy the code from a friend before you can activate it.
Since the code are unlikely and cannot be generated straight from the iOS keyboard, iOS users who wish to use the WhatsApp update that contains the Olympic ring can go to this site and copy the code or ring codes mentioned above.
Meanwhile, users must also download the latest WhatsApp Update in order to send, receive and view the Rio Olympic rings properly on their devices.
