Followers still cannot imagine the finale of "The Good Wife" Season 7, but CBS announced that the popular American drama sequel will linger with a spin-off. Even the showrunners are in the loop as well.
"The Good Wife" Season 7 producers, Michelle and Robert King, lately confessed that they are eager to do a spin-off if any network will pick them up to redeem from dissolution. A report from Deadline revealed that even the actors have grown an affinity for their roles as well.
This was also attested by the program producers as they were reiterating their stance. Moreover, CBS assured to push through "The Good Wife" saga with a spin-off, which will be seen on its V.O.D. program, CBS All Access.
"The Good Wife" spin-off will focus on the tale of Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) and Lucca Quinn(Cush Jumbo). Lucca Quinn latterly merged "The Good Wife" Season 7 and ended up working at the same company where Diane Lockhart was working.
According to Vanity Fair, a press announced from CBS saying that Michelle and Robert King would be retained as "The Good Wife" spin-off's co-producers and executive creators along with Phil Alden Robinson, Ridley Scott, David Zucker, Liz Glotzer, and Brooke Kennedy.
In the meantime, "The Good Wife" Season 7 ended with a bang. Literally, the sequel ended when Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) was hit by her mentor Diane Lockhart. The ending was a true shocker as well.
"The Good Wife" Season 7 showrunner also made some remarks regarding the series and its epic end. "To talk about the end of the series is probably to talk about the beginning of the series because we started with this feeling that it should begin with a slap and end with a slap," Robert King explained.
