"Pokemon Go" is no doubt the hottest game today. It has literally taken the world by storm as game enthusiasts find the game very interesting to play. It engages players in real-life hunting for Pocket Monsters and this exciting feature is probably the main reason for the Pokemon craze that is currently gripping many countries.
As soon as they start the game, "Pokemon Go" players naturally would want to level up immediately. To achieve this, many resorted to cheats and tricks that they have gathered from online sources. But despite the abundance of readily available information, there are still some questions that remained unanswered.
One such question that has always been on the players' minds is: "Can a player change teams?" Many might want to join another team for advancement and better gameplay but it is not sure if this is allowed.
In "Pokemon Go" there are three teams to choose from once the player reaches level five, and these are Team Valor, Team Mystic and Team Instinct. The teams allow players to fight alongside their teammates so they can take over and defend the gyms they have acquired together. But what if the team is weak? Is it possible to leave the first choice and pick another team?
The answer is NO. Niantic Labs stated that the option to change team is non-existent at the moment and they are not planning to modify the game for it. This means, once players chose his team, then he will be stuck with it until the end.
Then again, since game fanatics always find a way to do things they want even if it is not allowed or available, there could be some tricks for changing teams. In fact, on a thread on Reddit, it seems that some players successfully switched teams.
Based on the post, one just need to directly contact Niantic Labs and make a request for team modification. However, some users warned that the "Pokemon Go" developer will allow a player to change teams only once. It was also noted that the requests are only approved if the player have not yet spent a long time with his first team choice.
This process is quite simple since one just need to fill out a request form which can be found on Pokemon Go support page. After providing the required details, it is up to Niantic to respond and this could take time.
Lastly, the only other option is to create a new "Pokemon Go" account and start all over again. This is tedious but if you are willing to lose all your stat and go back to square one, then this option is for you.
