Will fans be seeing a "Constantine" Season 2 release date anytime soon? The topic has been the subject of speculations lately. Fans still have not given up hope of a possible "Constantine" Season 2 renewal.
For those who are not very familiar with the show, the series follows the exploits of John Constantine, a demon hunter and occultist. If that rings a bell, it is because of that Keanu Reeves-starrer film "Constantine" released way back in 2015.
Unfortunately, "Constantine" Season 2 was cancelled after only thirteen episodes. While many, especially the show's dedicated fan base, argue that the cancellation was ill-timed, the deed is already done. For now, what fans can hope for is a revival by some network for a "Constantine" Season 2 release date to happen.
And lately, fans hopes have been stoked by rumors of a possible revival. Word on the street is that a "Constantine" Season 2 release date might still happen, this time on The CW network.
It seems that the "Constantine" revival rumors were started with the appearance of a "Constantine" cast in a CW show. Specifically, Matt Ryan was a guest star still playing the role of John Constantine, at an "Arrow" Season 4 episode. Hopes of a possible "Constantine" Season 2 release were re-ignited.
So where does the series stand for now? Well, according to latest reports it looks like a "Constantine" Season 2 release date is not happening anytime soon, reports CarterMatt.
Showrunner Daniel Cerone posted on Twitter an update about the show. "Checked with execs and CW Seed (streaming #Constantine) is separate from CW Network. So no current plans to bring back show. :( #Hellblazers."
But fans are not giving up yet though. There are reports saying that old "Constantine" Season 1 episodes are currently streaming on CW Seed. Does this mean that The CW is currently gauging audience reception and that a "Constantine" Season2 release date is still being considered?
