NBA Rumors 2016: Chris Bosh Shoves Miami Heat To Corner [POLL]

Chris Bosh has been kept in the freezer for quite a while now though most are aware that the reason behind it is his health issues. For two consecutive years, the all-star forward’s season has been cut short due to blood clot-related problem.

The recurring issue has placed serious questions on whether Chris Bosh should continue playing professional ball. It is a life-threatening dilemma and the Miami Heat are not taking any chances.

New medication

Chris Bosh is desperate to return to NBA action and a resolution could come in the form of a new medication. The new recourse would be time-sensitive and shoot down the risks associated with blood thinners, the Miami Herald reported.

The medical recourse still failed to convince the Heat to allow Bosh to play and the 32-year-old cager is unhappy. In fact it could lead to an ugly battle with Bosh planning to seek help from the NBPA.

Money angle involved?

While the Heat’s move is seen only normal due to Bosh’s health state, observers have been tying up the holdup to the Heat’s salary cap space issues.

Bosh salary for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons could be cleared this Summer if a doctor jointly selected by the NBA and the players association declare Bosh’s condition as career-ending. If that happens, Bosh may resort to filing a grievance which could complicate his situation all the more.

Eventual departure looms

At the rate things are going, it seems that Bosh could end up leaving the Heat one way or the other. But assuming he does, the future looks a bit murky.

Other teams will likely take Bosh’s situation as crucial even if the new medication sets in. The last thing the Heat or any NBA team would want is to be blamed for any untoward aftermath, a case similar to the one involving Hank Gathers who played for Loyola Marymount and succumbed to sudden cardiac death, TMZ reported.
