Great news for "Overwatch" fans, as the new character that was teased earlier this month has now arrived on PlayStation 4.
The support sniper named Ana Amari is now available through a patch that was surprise released yesterday by Blizzard Entertainment. Ana is the first character to arrive after the game's launch, and she is described by the studio as a "battle-scarred veteran who supports her teammates from a distance using a unique and highly specialized collection of weapons."
For those who are yet unfamiliar with Ana, she bears a Biotic Rifle that is capable of fing long-range darts that delivers healing to her teammates and causes damage to their enemies. She's also armed with the Biotic Grenade, which also serves the same purpose of healing her allies, and helps boost incoming healing for those on her team, and ceases healing for the enemies.
She also has a Sleep Dart that puts enemies to sleep for a short period of time, and the Nano Boost, which enables her teammates to move more quickly, increase protection for her teammates, and increase damage to enemies. In terms of backstory, Ana is actually the mother of Pharah, and is also linked to Gabriel Reyes, better known as Reaper, and Jack Morrison A.K.A. Soldier: 76.
Aside from the addition of Ana to the roster of characters, the new patch also includes a D.Va update, which enables her to become invulnerable to her Self-Destruct features, and a new one-second cooldown for her Defense Matrix function. Check out Ana's gameplay, via Gamespot.
"Overwatch" is developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, and was first released in May, with a first update arriving in June. The game is available on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. For more information, visit playoverwatch.com.
