‘Overwatch’ Latest News & Update: Players Rue Loss Of Level Ups, Items Tied To PS4 Bug

“Overwatch” is under a lot of heat these days following reports of a bug to the PlayStation 4 recently. Though Blizzard has come out and said that the issue has been resolved, there are players now complaining that their lost ranking and items have yet to be returned.

Most of the complaints can be found Reddit and/or the Overwatch Forums, sharing their lost levels, ranks, skins, loot boxes and credits. Blizzard requested for the PSN usernames following word that the issue has been resolved but nothing has been reversed thus far

No update from Blizzard

Based on the response from a Blizzard technical support contact concerning “Overwatch”, the lost progress is still something that has not been fully resolved. Developers are currently looking into the matter and no significant update can be offered for now.

PS4 Format the culprit?

While focus is on the “Overwatch” game itself, a Blizzard Game Master bats that the problem may be tied up to the PS4 format. This means that Sony is also in the mix in an effort to resolve the problem. Despite the insertion of Sony people, there is no timetable on when a fix will be out.

Waiting for a fix

The only thing that “Overwatch” gamers can do right now is sit back and wait. Though it is an uncanny situation, the most important thing on the end of players is the restoration of their game progress per IGN.

Many are expectedly anxious to know if their previous journeys will still be saved so that they can advance and move on. There is a chance that the fix could overwrite “Overwatch” player’s progress and the though alone is something many are not too fine with.

Some players have now begun requesting compensation for both their lost money and time lost as the “Overwatch” bug debacle continues to leave a tainted mark on the end of gamers.
