The first-person shooter video game developed by Turtle Rock Studios, "Evolve," is now making noise since it becomes a free-to-play version.
A Massive Count Of Players
The figures of the players playing "Evolve" increased dramatically from the time it turns out free for the PC gamers, Just Push Start noted.
To recall, when "Evolve" was released in 2015, it only has about 150 active players per day. It was a very depressing figure for its game developer, Turtle Rock Studios, publisher, 2K Games, and distributor, Take-Two Interactive.
Now with a free gameplay, "Evolve" has 50,000+ players per day and still counting. With its massive and quick popularity, it looks like Turtle Rock Studios is about to create game console versions of "Evolve."
"Evolve" was then criticized for having a short content that didn't satisfy the gaming cravings of the game aficionados.
A lot of people stopped playing it before, but now it looks like "Evolve" will be around for a longer time.
The Problems 'Evolve' Faced Before
Lazy Gamer noted that "Evolve" has been in hyped for a week since it was first released. However, as the propaganda worn off, the title's problems started to emerge, like bad progression system and awful DLC among others.
Hence, gamers decided to stop playing "Evolve" and never touched it again. To solve the game's problems, Turtle Rock Studios decided to make "Evolve" a free-to-play, charge for premium aesthetic and other stuff.
Surely, that won't fix the issues "Evolve" has, but it is a good starting point to get up again. Although "Evolve" Stage 2 remains in its beta period, the numbers of players supporting the title bring a lot of potential to the game.
In fact, on "Evolve" Steam chart, via VG247, it now has 51, 099 peak players as of this writing.
