"Rise of the Tomb Raider" PC players have something to look forward to with a scheduled update on the way. On the other hand, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 will soon be released for Sony's console while hackers finally succeeded in a "Rise of The Tomb Raider" crack.
"Rise of the Tomb Raider" PC Update
Nixxes, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PC version developer, recently launched an update to the game, according to The Tech Report. The update is available for both Windows Store and Steam.
This seventh "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PC update will bring multi-GPU support to its DirectX 12. In addition, a vertical-sync toggle is likewise introduced to the Windows store update. "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PC gameplay will experience some improvements with the 3D stereo and multi-monitor tweaks done by Nixxes.
The patch notes of the latest "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PC update details the specifics for gamers with AMD and Nvidia GPUs. The update supports AMD cards GCN 1.1 and later versions while gamers with Nvidia GPUs need brand-spanking-new Pascal GPU for the enhancements to be felt.
Hackers Document "Rise of the Tomb Raider" Crack
In another note, pirates seemed to have finally bested the Denuvo DRM protection of the game. The "Rise of the Tomb Raider" crack was reported to be made by Russian hackers according to PCGamesN.
The Denuvo DRM has been known to be notoriously difficult to circumvent and is a major setback among hackers trying to load the games for free on torrent sites. For this reason, it has been employed to protect a number of games including DOOM, Just Cause 3 and, of course, Rise of the Tomb Raider.
But if reports of the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" crack are indeed true, it seems hackers might have finally found a way to defeat it protection. Speculations are that the hacker or hackers belong to the RELOADED hacker group.
At the moment, nobody claimed responsibility for the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" crack. What was shown was a video supposedly showing the debug process and the eventually successful launching of the "Rise of the Tomb Raider."
Since, no "Rise of the Tomb Raider" crack is still being circulated, it is hard to verify the accuracy of the claim. When asked for a comment, a Denuvo official merely responded that they can make a product "hard to crack" but not "uncrackable."
"Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 Release Date
Finally, here's some good news to PlayStation 4 players who are still waiting for their version of the game. Contrary to previous rumors of delayed release and even cancellation, Square Enix has officially announced that "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 release date is scheduled for Holiday of 2016.
