The "7 Days to Die" was finally made available for gaming consoles. Game enthusiasts cannot wait to try it out and they finally did after it was released on June 28. However, playing did not go smoothly as players experienced many issues and they were disappointed.
Then again, since the game is new, having minor glitches in the system is something that can be expected. Usually, developers have to continue working and tweak the game until everything can function the way it should. This is why game creators issue periodic updates and release patches for the fixes.
Currently, gamers can play "7 Days to Die" on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Each platform have its corresponding bugs so the solutions or fixes may differ. In the forum dedicated for the game, some of the complaints posted include:
1. The game keeps crashing
2. Mass disconnect
3. Textures are hazy
4. Frequent object pop-ins
5. Lags which eventually freeze the game
6. Disappearance of items
7. Players using windows 8 and 8.1 reported that internet disconnects on program exit.
8. Players cannot locate friends when trying multi-player gameplay.
On July 5, the console patch 1.1 has been released and posted on "7 Days to Die" website. The patch addresses most of the problems and tells how they corrected the flaws. The game creator, The Fun Pimps, listed down the issues that they have already fixed and here they are:
They also shared the issues that they are currently working on, and the new Patch is expected to be revealed sometime in July or early Aug. This update will include new character pack, additional fixes and other improvements.
Finally, some critics commented that with the bugs and glitches, the game is obviously still in its developing stage. They also called the game as ‘half-broken' and went as far as saying that "7 Days to Die" does not deserve to be listed as a video game because the issues made it unplayable.
