Digital Foundry, a known game reviewer, compared the new trailer Bethesda released for "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition" against the best visual mods available.

The PC mod developers managed to exceed what Bethesda can do. No doubt, the video game company included a number of astonishing things on "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition."
But, the development team of Bethesda made the maps on "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition" have a bright, orange tone while the mod developers opted to apply blue-ish color on every level.
Hence, the improvements didn't really affect the quality of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition."
Moreover, VG247 added that although the comparison was not perfectly made because Bethesda and the mod developers have different visual concepts on how "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition" should be improved.
