"Jeepers Creepers 3" got a lot of love when the possibility of the "Cathedral" sequel was mentioned. Unfortunately, even with the positive feedback, the much-awaited movie is getting all the bad luck during its production process.
Although Myriad Pictures has already announced that "Jeepers Creepers 3" will go into production this year, the movie's director Victor Salva’s 1988 conviction brought the production of "Jeepers Creepers 3" to a screeching halt.
'Jeepers Creepers 3': Casting calls have been pulled out
After "Jeepers Creepers 3" director Victor Salva's pedophilia conviction resurfaced, the movie production was left with no choice but to cancel the casting calls for "Jeepers Creepers 3."
This issue has caused the delay for the scheduled filming of "Jeepers Creepers 3" on British Columbia, Canada.
The Union of British Columbia Performers released a warning announcing "Jeepers Creepers 3" director Victor Salva's sex crime with a minor in the past.
“It has recently come to our attention that a casting breakdown has gone out for a future film entitled 'Jeepers Creepers III' and that the director of the film, Victor Salva, was convicted of sexual misconduct in 1988,” it read.
"Jeepers Creepers 3" director Victor Salva was convicted of performing a sexual act with a minor and was sent to jail for three years and served 15 months.
'Jeepers Creepers 3' is still happening
Despite the controversy, sequel producer Stan Spry, assured fans that "Jeepers Creepers 3" is still going to push through.
When asked by a fan on Twitter if "Jeepers Creepers 3" is ever going to happen, Stan Spry replied, "it is not cancelled. Producers are working on the domestic distribution deal."
