Asus is preparing to launch three new devices from the Zenfone 3 series, called the Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Deluxe and Zenfone 3 Ultra. The three phones have slightly varying specifications, depending on the needs of the user.
The Asus Zenfone 3 is the base model. It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor and has a 5.5-inch screen. It has a 32GB internal memory and 3GB of RAM. The phone also comes with a 64GB variant. The unit costs around $249.
GSMArena stated that the Asus Zenfone 3 includes the Adreno 506 GPU, a 16-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear shooter.
The device is expected to arrive with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. The unit includes a non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery and comes in three colors: Sapphire Black, Shimmer Gold and Moonlight White.
The Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 652 processor and has a huge 6.8-inch screen. It comes with 64GB of internal memory, expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card, and 4GB of RAM. The device is priced at around $479.
The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe has the most powerful chipset among the three, with a Snapdragon 821. It also has 6GB of RAM and is the first smartphone to feature an all-metal unibody design with invisible antenna. The unit is priced at $499.
The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe measures 156.4 x 77.4 x 7.5mm and weighs 170g. The screen has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels with 386 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
It will reportedly showcase the Adreno 530 GPU, a 23-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear shooter.
The device is expected to arrive with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. The unit includes a non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery and comes in three colors: Glacier Silver, Shimmer Gold and Titanium Gray.
The three new Zenfone 3 models are expected to launch in Asia on July 12, 2016. The release date in the United States has yet to be announced by the Taiwanese company.
GSM Arena also reported that, in the meantime, Asus has begun releasing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Zenfone Zoom and Zenfone Selfie.
Users of either phone can expect various new features and fixes, as well as the removal of unnecessary data upon installation.
