The cast of "Longmire" Season 5 celebrated their last day of shooting and fans are now waiting for the announcement of its release on Netflix. However, there are swirling rumors that the soon-to-be-revealed chapter of the drama series might be its last.
There are a number of reports saying that "Longmire" Season 5 will be canceled because of its poor ratings, Parent Herald reported.
To recall, "Longmire" has been dismissed from A&E after its Season 3 and, until now, there are no news if it's going to be renewed for Season 6.
@rajeevfilm It is. For some reason, some people have the mistaken assumption that S5 is our last. Not so. #Longmire

However, Netflix acquired "Longmire" to continue its Season 4 on the streaming service to gain its viewers and be their subscribers.
Hence, if Netflix thinks of canceling "Longmire" Season 5, they will lose a lot of members as they won't hesitate to end their subscription with the global provider of streaming movies and television series.
In fact, a fan asked Lou Diamond Philips, who plays Henry Standing Bear, in a tweet if it will be the end for "Longmire." "For some reason, some people have the mistaken assumption that S5 is our last. Not so," the 54-year-old actor replied, as per Christian Today.

Lou Diamond Philips also shared a snap of his last day on the set of "Longmire" Season 5 by spending time at The Red Pony, the bar owned by his character on the show. "It is a beautiful (final) day at the Red Pony and continual soirée...until next season! Big thanks," he captioned his photo.
Katee Sackhoff, on the other hand, was in her character as she posted a selfie while wearing her black cowboy hat.
