Martin has decided to stop writing "The Winds of Winter" after "Game of Thrones" Season 6 Episode 10 has revealed a lot of major spoilers about the forthcoming book. According to reports, the New Mexican author was alarmed when the finale episode of "GoT" has featured a lot of major scenes of his novel.
Sources have claimed that George R.R. Martin does not know how to keep "The Winds of Winter" fans hooked with his imminent novel as most major climaxes were already seen in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 Episode 10. In other words, the much-detailed adaptation of "The Winds of Winter" had caused the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series author to stop from writing.
It can be recalled that George R.R. Martin was reportedly writing the last few chapters of "The Winds of Winter" book. However, it seems like the highly-anticipated book will be facing another delay should these reports proved true.
Up until now, George R.R. Martin has remained silent about these reports. Whether or not the January 2017 is impossible, no one can confirm as of yet.

Meanwhile, Australia Network News has reported that Daenerys Targaryen alongside her dragons will die in "The Winds of Winter." Well, this is not surprising at all as George R.R. Martin is known to be fond of killing characters in his stories.
Other "The Winds of Winter" spoilers suggest that Jon Snow and Arya Stark will fall in love with each other. Though they do not know what is ahead of them, sources have claimed that they will deepen their relationship in the upcoming chapters.
