'Spider-man: Homecoming' Cast News, Updates, Spoilers: Michael Mando, Bokeem Woodbine & Abraham Attah Are Newest Additions To The Cast

Marvel and Sony's joint project, "Spider-man: Homecoming" has began filming in Atlanta, and casting news are slowly emerging from the highly anticipated third iteration of the web-slinging superhero film series. There are two new additions to the already stellar cast, but the studios remain tight-lipped on the roles they are playing.

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reveals that Michael Mando has been cast in "Spider-man: Homecoming," but his role is currently unknown. The 34-year old Canada native is best known for his role as Ignacio "Nacho" Varga in AMC's "Better Call Saul," the spin-off of the critically acclaimed, award-winning "Breaking Bad."

"Fargo" actor Bokeem Woodbine has also signed on to play a villainous role, as per The Hollywood Reporter. The 43-year old actor also appeared in films "Riddick," "Total Recall," and "The Host".

Another new addition to the cast is 15-year old Abraham Attah, who according to Deadline was discovered while playing soccer. The young actor, who hails from Ghana, made his film debut with Idris Elba in "Beasts of No Nation," a role for which he won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead. He was also nominated for the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer category and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture category.

"Spider-man: Homecoming" is directed by Jon Watts and produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal, with a script from John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein. The film is set to bring back Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man and Tom Holland as Peter Parker. Also starring are Marisa Tomei, who will play Aunt May, Michael Keaton, who will play The Vulture. Additional cast include musical artist Zendaya, Logan Marshall-Green, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, and Hannibal Buress.

"Spider-man: Homecoming" is set to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
