Nintendo announced in the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 the release of the "Rhythm Heaven Megamix."
This game is the predecessor of "Rhythm Heaven", which is known to be one of the greatest music game franchises. It is similar to other music games like Rock Band and Elite Beat Agents.
The Rhythm Heaven Megamix game brings together more than 100 musical mini-games. It also combines new tunes along with previously favourite music from the old mini games. It is a digital only release title. The game is now available for gamers to buy. It can be bought in the Nintendo 3DS e-shop for $30, Game Spot reported.
Rhythm Heaven Megamix will test its gamers' rhythm by: sticking speeding viruses using forks, chopping wood and flying an airplane while playing badminton. All of these will be done while catchy tunes are playing, requiring timing and rhythm to its players.
The game may look cute and childish, but it is deceptively one of the most challenging rhythm games, Silicon Era reported. The game sports accessible controls and is equipped with catchy music. It also features a new visual feedback system, making it a great addition to the Rhythm Heaven franchise.
The release of the game includes updates on Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS and Wii's Rhythm Heaven games. There will be changes on the current rhythm games available for the said consoles. More so, gamers will have access to a combination of new rhythm games, U.S. song debuts, and fan-favorites. This makes the Rhythm Heaven Megamix game the ultimate version for the series.
Rhythm Heaven Megamix also includes over 70 rhythm games. Among the series, this is the most number of rhythm games combined into one game. There are some minigames that are only available in Japan. Now, these exclusively Japanese mini rhythm games will be making their debut in North America, with new music to accompany their arrival. The soundtrack of the game was created with the help of the legendary music producer in Japan names Tsunku.
The game also becomes socially interactive as players can interact with each other with the new StreetPass feature. This allows a Player to Player (P2P) interaction. Gamers playing this feature will be able to access a robot skill game where the players' robots will be matched in a one on one punching battle. Gamers can also engage in a group game of up to four simultaneous players. There are also special multiplayer games that can earn players Flow Balls. These Flow Balls can be used to purchase additional mini games.
