Fans are still waiting for "Kingdom Hearts 3" to be announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016. In the meantime, it would be a good idea to prepare for the debut by checking out "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue."
According to "Final Chapter Prologue" co-director Tai Yusue, 2.8 will serve as an introduction to "Kingdom Hearts 3."
"I think for 'Kingdom Hearts 3' we want the player to leap into an action-packed game right away," Yasue told IGN at E3 2016.
"Final Chapter Prologue" would be the best way to immerse the player into the new gameplay that will be featured in "Kingdom Hearts 3."
But is there any chance that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will have "Final Fantasy" worlds? Tai Yasue states that fans shouldn't hold their breath for that.
"We're not adding any 'Final Fantasy' worlds," Yasue told Gamespot. "A lot of the original worlds had 'Final Fantasy' characters in them."
It might not happen now, but will "Kingdom Hearts 3" eventually have "Final Fantasy" worlds?
"At this moment, we are not really coming up with any plans for that," Yasue reiterated. "We're making original worlds and Disney worlds."
Tai Yasue also confirmed that worlds included in the "Kingdom Hearts" games are carefully selected by Square Enix. It was revealed that they have a criteria for the chosen worlds.
"The best thing would be to have Disney Worlds everyone recognize and are famous, but that are also distinct and unique," Yasue said. "We want the difference and variety, we don't' want a lot of the same thing."
But will "Kingdom Hearts 3" finally debut at E3 2016? Square Enix has not included the title in the current E3 2016 lineup. Nevertheless, fans are hoping that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will finally be a surprise announcement this week.
