EA Sports' MVP Baseball Returns to Korea

EA sports' MVP Baseball series returned to South Korea as an online game.

The game is a joint venture between EA Sports and NCSoft. NCSoft owns NC Dinos, a professional Korean baseball team. 2K Sports, who've come out with NBA 2K13, are working with Nexon for an online baseball game.

EA Sports has not responded to any enquires on the project. When asked if there will be a return of MVP, EA came in with their usual "no plans at this time."

EA Sports' focus is the new UFC game, said Andrew Wilson, executive vice president, EA Sports. He said that EA was not working on MVP.

According to reports, EA Sports will wait until the next console generation and then will decide if it needs to get back into baseball market in North America.

The game, MVP Baseball was widely popular when it was released in 2005, with MLB license. It was the deal between 2K Sports and Major League Baseball that pushed it out of the markets. The license is set to expire this year, possibly putting an end to MLB 2K series.

Xbox 360 owners who are baseball fans worry that without an MLB license, there will be no products for their systems in 2013.
