Google Chromebook has been everywhere in the news ever since a report revealed that it has beaten Apple in sales after being the underdog for a long time. Manufacturers shipped over 2 million Google Chromebook laptops during the most recent quarter and it includes Dell, Lenovo. and HP, while manufacturers only shipped just around 1.76 million Apple's Mac.
Google Chromebook beats Apple's Mac in sales
Google Chromebook is a much interesting option to purchase right now after learning the sales statistics as it means it is doing something more appealing to the masses compared to Apple's Mac. "Chrome OS overtook Mac OS in the U.S. in terms of shipments for the first time in 1Q16," IDC analyst Linn Huang said. "Chromebooks are still largely a US K-12 story."
Google Chromebook became the fastest growing laptops over the years and it has been a staple in schools in the U.S. People who are more budget-conscious also prefer Google Chromebook over Apple's Mac because of the huge difference in price.

Yahoo reports that Google Chromebook is just getting better and better, especially now with the addition of the Android apps. Now that Google Chromebook has the power to run Microsoft's Office, users will be able to use Google Chromebook just like a regular laptop unlike before with its exclusive and limited applications.
Matt Novak of Gizmodo shared how he shifted from an Apple's Mac to a Google Chromebook user. Novak cited that he was a Mac user all his life until he had to buy a new device after his old Macbook Air needed a replacement. At that time, he started to get an idea of getting a Google Chromebook instead, after being loyal to Apple for a long period of time and realized that he just did a great decision.
"Sure, a Mac is a superior computer in some ways, especially if you’ve grown up accustomed to them. But the average computer user’s needs have been exceeded in the most basic laptop," he said. "Today there are so many Chromebooks at the $200 price point that are heads above the Acer Chromebook that has served me well over the past year. And there will no doubt be even better ones next year."
