New Wireless Charging Experts Hint At Improved Apple Mobile Devices In 2017 [VIDEO]

With the iPhone 7 expected to come out with minimal changes this year, there are some who would prefer to look ahead and see what Apple has in store for 2018.

So far, a lot has to do with the changes on the outside such as possibly a departure from the LCD display and the addition of common features we see from their rival brands like Samsung. Among the leading features that comes to mind is the ability of the Apple phones and tablets to charge wirelessly.

Can Apple Watch feature happen for iPhones and iPads?

To date, the only product from Apple that can do so is the Apple Watch. This is done with the aid of a magic puck that is latched beneath it. Could Apple do the same enhancement with its iPhones or iPads by 2018?

To do that, the company needs to take in the proper people who have good knowledge on wireless charging as noted on Bloomberg. Apple seems well on its way towards doing that with word that the Cupertino company has been screening people to recruit under their wing.

Recruiting the right people for fast and distant charging

Two people (as reported by The Verge) from uBeam have been added to a team of twelve individuals (from the past two years) and hopefully that would be enough to get something going by 2018.

The latest additions are likely aware of uBeams ultrasonic waves to charge devices which allows users to juice up their device from a certain distance. The last word on that from an unnamed engineer over at uBeam is that the technology doesn’t work and may draw in issues particularly when shipments come into play.

This despite the fact that Apple is on the offensive to come up with some form of distant charging which could be a sensible and neat upgrade for the next iPhones and iPads. The problem seen right now is energy loss with power levels possibly dropping off quickly due to the far-range charging intent.
