Wii U prospects waiting for "The Legend of Zelda" are once again subjected to endure time as the title is delayed for a "2017" release. However, it will not be exclusive for the console, as the mysterious NX has been confirmed to house it.
The gaming platform is scheduled for a March 2017 global release, Forbes reported, though it is uncertain whether the new Zelda becomes its launch title. Fans had been waiting for details on the title's release since 2014 (some even earlier).

Nintendo has done the same move with "Zelda Twilight Princess," WiiUDaily recalls. As told by the outlet, the game was delayed on the GameCube so that it could launch inside the Wii. It may had been a smart gesture as more people were reportedly drawn to the newer console.
The Nintendo Enthusiast is convinced that "The Legend of Zelda" for the NX will "more than likely be the superior version," while Wii U fans, who have long waited for the title, are bound to get "a bit of a low blow." Of course, this is to be taken with a grain of salt, until Nintendo clarifies.
News surrounding a new Nintendo console broke out in March 2015. It must be pointed that NX is a codename - we are yet to know an official moniker. Nevertheless, the late president Satoru Iwata called it "dedicated game platform with a brand-new concept." In addition, it is meant to be part of a new membership service that replaces the Nintendo Club, Trusted Reviews wrote.
To date, there are several speculations on how the platform would look like, and among the most notable rumors peg that it will be a console-handheld hybrid. In reference to the latter half, Stuff predicts a portable gaming machine that operates and runs games independent from the console. That being said, it could take the best from both 3DS and Wii U worlds, if assumptions are to believed.
