In just a couple months, the highly regarded MMORPG game Elite: Dangerous will finally be released for the Xbox One gaming consoles, as promised by its developer (Polygon) at the recently held E3 conference. The game was first released for the PC format since the last fall and game console enthusiasts that were also fans of the game were delighted to hear the news during the conference.
The game is known to have an enormous scale as it is being played in a fictional galaxy that is comparable to the size of our own Milky Way. According to the game details, in totality, there are approximately 400 billion stars in its system for players to explore in this open-ended space simulation.
Players need to fight, explore and trade in an MMO fashion in order to increase their treasures and at the same time upgrade their starships as they cruise their way in the unimaginably humongous game. The Elite: Dangerous will be officially released on October 6th, as announced by Polygon's own CEO David Braben, via Reddit AMA over the weekend. In addition, the announcement also showed, another expansion pack of the game, which will be called Horizons, will be eventually making its way to the same Microsoft hit gaming console.
Horizons will be initially launched for the PC platform, this coming holiday season, which brings the ability for players to descend and land on the virtually endless number of in-game worlds in the Elite: Dangerous' procedurally made galaxy. A beta version of the game was also released to those who registered to try the game, and unfortunately, the ships and modules that were built in the beta version will not be carried over on the full version, but Polygon confirmed that they will be rewarded with the currency that is equal to their inventory once the full version hits live on October 6.
Elite: Dangerous for Xbox One can be picked up at the Xbox One App Store for $30.99.
