After years in an early access development stage, Kerbal Space Program is finally approaching full release next week.

Details For The Next Mass Effect Game Leaked Through Online Survey

The game is set to launch in full as version 1.0 April 27, the official blog states. With that comes the first video preview of v1.0, which also serves as its own announcement: female Kerbals will be included in the game.

You can see that video below, though note that it's extremely brief. It's titled Day 7 for the countdown to release--it seems like there will be a new snippet each day as launch approaches. The game will be available on PC, Mac, and Linux at launch. Huzzah!

Twitter DM Update Allows All Users To Privately Message One Another--But It's Optional

Created by a very small development team, Kerbal Space Program challenges players to construct spacecraft and achieve successful launches using a realistic physics engine. It's likely not for everyone, but attempting to shoot your Kerbals into orbit on a custom craft can be a lot of fun, and learning why or how a launch fails because of those pesky laws of physics can be rewarding.

The game has been available on Steam Early Access for two years, and in development for even longer (first public verison was available in 2011). It's a small thing, but when you're working with real physics and tweaking minute details of the engine and mechanics (and adding features), it understandably takes a long time. If you've been a loyal fan all along, the launch you've been waiting for is almost here.
