Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for their Dynasty Warriors-esque brawler, the aptly named One Piece Pirate Warriors 3.

The new trailer is called Friends Forever and reunites Straw Hat crew members Luffy, Sabo and Ace in their battle against the fabulous Don Flamingo, one of the series central antagonists. There's enough action and touching melodrama here, a staple of the long running series, to satisfy both old and new fans alike.
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 retells the story of Luffy, from his humble beginnings to his quest to find the legendary One Piece and become the Pirate King. The plot will feature the controversial timeskips, allowing for greater character variety and should catch players up to the current plotlines (as much as can be achieved, at least).

Players can currently pre-order various special physical editions of the game. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 launches this August on PS4, PS3, PS Vita and Steam. No more specific date has been revealed yet. No word if these special offers will also be coming to North America, but you have plenty of time to make a new penpal across the pond.
The Japanese version of Pirate Warriors 3 was released a month ago on March 26. The Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu gave it a stirring 36/40 recently, so we must advise patience. August will be here sooner than you think and you'll be able to start living the pirate's life before you realize.
