Star Wars Battlefront Release Date Revealed? Official Website Source Code Hints At Launch Day
Publisher Sony announced today that we can expect the game on its newest console some time in the next several months. This will mark the first time Thatgamecompany's title will be debuting on a second system, and according to Gamespot, the studio will also be releasing Journey as part of a packaged remastered deal of its past titles. This three-game bundle will include Flow and Flower.
The exact language used for the standalone Journey tite was "mid-2015", which means we're looking at a release date that most likely falls somewhere in June, July, or August. The game will not only offer PlayStation 4 owners who may have missed the title the first time around an opportunity to play, but upgraded visuals.
Halo Spartan Strike Now Available On Steam, iOS, And Windows Phone
Sony confirmed to Gamespot that the title will run at a smooth 60 frames per second in 1080p--something that such a fluid and visually appealing game should really benefit from. Other than those visual upgrades, the remake will leave Thatgamecompany's critically-acclaimed title exactly as-is.
Journey originally released on PS3 on 2012 and won much praise for its innovative play, art, and soundtrack. Its accolades included many game of the year nominations and wins, and Austin Wintory's score (also the composer of The Banner Saga's fantastic soundtrack) was nominated for a Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media.
