We are about a month away from the release of the oft-delayed racing sim Project CARS from Slightly Mad Studios and Square Enix, and the companies have listed the technical specs and requirements for the game.
Project CARS Gets Both Fast And Furious With The Lykan Hypersport
This game is gorgeous and can possibly outgraphics Forza and Turismo for the title of prettiest belle at the ball. The minimum PC specs call for 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400, 3.0 GHz AMD Phenom II X4 940; GRAPHICS - nVidia GTX 260, ATI Radeon HD 5770; MEMORY - 4Gb RAM, 1Gb VRAM.
That's the bare minimum to get the lowest settings. The game can run up to 12k resolution depending on the hardware you're running under the hood.
Destiny: House Of Wolves Trailer Impressions; No Raid For The Wicked
While its minimum requirements are not close to The Witcher III's monstrous prereqs, the recommended setting tops Geralt for at least processing power. Slightly Mad recommends at least a 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7 3700 ot 4.0 GHz AMD FX-8350; GRAPHICS - nVidia GT600 series, AMD Radeon HD7000 series; MEMORY - 8Gb RAM, 2Gb VRAM.
That is some considerable firepower.
Meanwhile, in what is sure to cause no shortage of outrage, the Xbox One and PS4 versions will both support 60 fps, but only the PS4 will feature 1080p. The Xbox One edition will max out at 900p.
The game was originally meant to be out last year but has suffered a series of delays. "The scope of the game is by far the grandest and most intricately-detailed that the team have ever worked on, and has been built for the future with a great deal of depth and forward-thinking technology. Combined with the teams own high standards and determination to release the title in its most complete and polished state, and the complex nature of some last-minute issues and bugs, moving the release of the title allows the final product to be one that both matches the original vision of the team and satisfies the expectations of the understanding yet eager audience." Slightly Mad wrote on its update blog.
