You could argue that NBA 2K13 always planned to have a "Dynasty" edition, but we'll live in a fantasy world where this is perfectly coinciding with Miami's recent NBA Finals win that corronated Lebron James as the rightful king of hoops.
Now that that's out of the way, the special edition will also get an October 2nd release date and a hefty price tag of $99.99. The "Dynasty" edition comes with the type of swag that seems like overkill for nearly a hundred bucks: a 2K13 themed basketball from Spaulding and Art of Basketball, special edition Sprite All-Stars downloadable content, a textured covering for your Xbox 360 or Playstation controller and a set of Skullcandy earbuds featuring the NBA 2K Ink'd logo.
“With this special edition package, we want to give something meaningful to our great fans,” said Jason Argent, vice president of marketing for 2K Sports. “This is an awesome deal that is sure to please fans, and will become a must-have item while supplies last.”
All that and a functioning copy of the game seems to pale in the knowledge of controlling King James as he dominates the virtual courts. Not like we're biased here or anything.
