Ness Amiibo Gamestop Pre-Orders Sold Out Before Being Posted Online
The game has been given a June 26 release date in Europe, but nothing specific has been announced for North America. The expected launch is sometime in the fall, but Nintendo remains mum and speculation about a delay is circulating.
What is clear, at least for Europe, is that getting your hands on the special yarn Yoshi amiibo will not be as difficult as other figures. Nintendo announced that there will be a version of the game bundled with the green yarn Yoshi, presumably meaning it will be available to everyone (unless these, too, are made in too-little supply). The green figure is the only one available in the bundle, so the hunt will still be on for the other colors (see below).

Will North America or other regions get the amiibo bundle? Hard to say, but you would assume yes, right? Nintendo could opt not to offer the deal elsewhere, but it doesn't seem logical that they would. Amiibo figures have been flying off the shelves faster than people can pre-order them in the U.S., and packaging a figure as unique as the yarn Yoshi with the game should help move software. The blue and pink figures are another story--these are probably going to sell out instantly, and getting your hands on them will prove extremely difficult.
