Rebranding existing games with updates is all the rage, but it's the best when developers don't charge you a dime to do it. Geometry Wars 3 Dimensions is now Geometry Wars 3 Dimensions Evolved after a free update that nearly doubles the content in the game.
Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare 'Ascendance' DLC Released Today
The twin-stick arcade shooter has received a hefty amount of new content today on all systems (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC). The Adventure experience has been reinvigorated with 40 new missions: these feature boss battles, challenges on the new 3D grid shapes, a new drone (the Sweeper) and a new super ability (Detonator). Progression requirements have also been relaxed, making it a bit easier for players to advance through the game.
There's also a new Hardcore mode, with 20 levels for the Geometry Wars purists out there to compete on leaderboards with no loadouts, drones, or super abilities. Classic mode has been expanded, bringing the total to over 100 levels across the game modes. There are also the bonus challenges, plus local co-op for four players and online competitive play for up to eight.
Dying Light April Fools Update Will Give Players Super Strength For A Day
The update is free to anyone who owns a copy of the game on any system. The game itself, available now as Geometry Wars 3 Dimensions Evolved, is priced at $14.99 on PSN, Xbox Live, and Steam.
