A new trailer for the upcoming Mortal Kombat X has surfaced via MAXIM Russia. While the trailer is in English with Russian subtitles, you wouldn't need a translator to understand the over-the-top levels of violence pulsing through nearly every frame of this video.
Here's Everything We Know About The Four New Evolve Hunters Arriving Next Week
It is all so wonderfully glorious. The trailer highlights three of the game's Shaolin focused characters: series regular Kung Lao, newcomer Kung Jin and of course, the one and only Liu Kang. We also get a short - and slightly confusing - tease as to the story of the game. Former champions of Kung Lao's have been resurrected under the control of the fallen Elder God Shinnok, who has been one of the central antagonists of the series since his debut in Mortal Kombat 4.
Shinnok is often described as the most evil being in the series' universe, and among the most powerful one. Even the Emperor Shao Kahn can barely match him. And now he controls a legion of some of history's greatest warriors.

But more than mythology, the trailer highlights some of the absurd and highly inventive kills. Have you ever wanted to see a man rip another man's tongue out from his neck, shove said tongue back into that man's mouth? Then not only should you see someone about that, but you should also definitely pick up Mortal Kombat X, where that sort of thing is guaranteed to happen.
Watch the trailer below and I dare you to not go 'ooh!' or 'oh Jesus!' during many of the fatalities presented. Mortal Kombat X hits Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC on April 14.
