A listing on Amazon France, ShackNews reports, describes the game as compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 8. It's currently listed as unavailable, and could certainly be a mistake--but it may also just be a premature listing. ShackNews points out that Amazon France has a fairly good track record with these things: the site leaked Call of Duty Black Ops II, The Last of Us PlayStation bundle, Ratchet & Clank HD Collection, and others.

That's not a bad history, and means you probably shouldn't dismiss this posting. It's far from a sure thing, but it also a distinct possibility at this time. That has of course led to an entitled online petition by gamers who feel 'betrayed' by the multiple-platform option. The more people who can enjoy the game, the better--why should we care if others can experience it as well? Nobody is owed a sacred pact of exclusivity, and even if you were, others playing the game doesn't take anything away from you.
