NetherRealm Studios has revealed a new feature for Mortal Kombat X, an amusing mechanic called Quitalities.
Batman Arkham Knight Release Date Delayed Again
While purely cosmetic, Quitalities aim to embarrass those who rage quit out of matches, or at least make the winner feel better about their opponent leaving early. When a player prematurely leaves a game, their character's head will explode, because this is Mortal Kombat and why not?
Eurogamer reported the news from a live NetherRealms gameplay stream, and you can see it in action in the video below. The developers said that this is a way of "making the winner look better", which I think is something we can all appreciate. It might not be as good as a full win (actually, forcing someone into a rage quit can be pretty pleasing), but watching your opponent's head explode is a pretty satisfying idea. Plus, there's a certain poetry to it, if you think about the player's head figuratively exploding as they surrender in frustration.

The developers also confirmed that Predator will be coming to the game as a DLC character after the news was leaked via an Xbox Store posting. Rather than delay what we knew any further, the team released this video showing off the four characters that will be coming in the Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack: Predator, Jason Vorhees, Tanya, and Tremor.
