Bandai Namco released a new trailer for their upcoming uber hack n slash One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 today, and it sure is something.

The latest look at the Dynasty Warriors-esque game showcases the many heroes - and villains - you can team up with. Loyalties and canon matter little when there are hundreds of similar looking bad guys to mow throw, after all.
"More action, more characters, stronger enemies and improved gameplay" are all a part of the new adventure, and they certainly mean it. The trailer gives a brief glimpse at many of the antagonists that have stared down Luffy across the long running One Piece anime and manga, from Morgan, to the crazy Buggy, Mihawk, Sanji, Rob Lucci, Kuro, Don Krieg and so many others. There are 36 playable characters revealed so far, a small pittance of the total number of characters in the show.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 retells the story of Luffy, from his humble beginnings to his quest to find the legendary One Piece and become the Pirate King. The plot will feature the controversial timeskips, allowing for greater character variety and should catch players up to the current plotlines (as much as can be achieved, at least).
The game is out on PC, PS4, PS3, and PS Vita this summer. No specific date has been given for its North American or European release. The Japanese version is out next Thursday, March 26, so expect to see more from One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 very, very soon.
