Warframe Unveils New Dragon-Themed Frame, Chroma And A Thrilling Trailer For Tombs Of The Sentient At PAX East

Digital Extremes was on hand for TennoLive, their Warframe-themed panel at this year's PAX East and they showed off quite a bit to the waiting masses gathered in Boston this weekend.

So Much Winter Is Coming In The New Game Of Thrones Trailer

But for those of us who weren't there, they released a new and wonderful trailer for the upcoming new content, Tombs of the Sentient. Not much has been revealed about it, but any footage that ends with a small group of cyber-ninjas being surrounded by an even larger group of robot monstrosities most assuredly has our attention here at the GNG offices.

Among one of the biggest changes coming to Warframe is a the Parkour 2.0 movement system. Shown off briefly in the Tombs of the Sentient trailer, players will have a new move-set to jump, tumble and run around with in even the hardest to reach areas. Yeah, flying in space is great, but there's something thrilling about bounding around here on the ground.

"Players will also be treated to a new enemy faction named the Sentients as well as a new PvP-focused capture-the-flag mode, 'Capture the Cephalon' and a new Sanctuary area."

"There will be a trio of new weapons to wield while doing so, including the Community Concept weapon, the Mios, the Puncture Glaive and the Dark Dakra, in honor of the two year-anniversary of Warframe."

Dragons seemed to be a big thing at PAX East this weekend, with Blizzard showing off Blackrock Mountain, a new Dragon-heavy expansion for Hearthstone. Not to be outdone, Warframe debuted Chroma, a new dragon frame.

Chroma has a really unique "something new added to it". He's an elemental frame, so his abilities are determined by how you skew your energy. Red is more fire, yellow is lightning, blue is cold. He also brings a lot of team buffing for the PvP arenas. He's inspired in part by the angry "European dragon" as well as the more Eastern "lucky dragon".

All of these and so much more will be coming to Warframe in 2015. The game has been constantly updated since its arrival two years ago, and shows no sign of slowing down, either. You can watch the full PAX East event below, and be sure to download Warframe today.
