An Xbox One Halo: The Master Chief Collection bundle never made an appearance during the holidays, but the promotion has now been officially announced.
Halo Championship Series Season 1 Recap: Evil Geniuses Crowned Deserved Winners
Starting this month at $349.99, consumers in worldwide ("U.S. and select markets") will be able to purchase an Xbox One console and a digital copy of the title, which includes all four main Halo games and their online multiplayer on one disc.
Whether coincidental or not, the bundle comes soon after a recent update fixed The Master Chief Collection's matchmaking and online issues, which plagued the game since launch. A series of patches did little to fix the problems that resulted in very long (or indefinite) search times and frustrating party management, but the game plays much more smoothly after the big patch. If you've been tempted to pull the trigger on either the console or game, this offer is a pretty good way to go.

There were many Xbox One bundles and deals during the holidays, including a 360 and PS3 trade-in at Microsoft Stores, but a Master Chief Collection bundle was only released in Japan. The big console-selling title now comes packed in with the system for a lower price, rewarding those who waited through the gift-giving period.
