Monsters come in all shapes and sizes in Geralt of Rivia's world, but the big ones are the hardest to hunt. CD Projekt RED appeared at PAX East this weekend with a gameplay demo of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and showed off seven minutes of new footage that demonstrates just how big Wyverns can get.

This video is narrated by Peter Gelencser, Senior Level Designer, who takes us on a tour of the fittingly titled No Man's Land. After easily dispatching a couple of wolves Geralt comes across a little town, and a quest. A man in town is questioning where a few of his men have gone, as they've went off with a caravan and never returned. Geralt whistles for his horse (you can always do that for instant transportation) and takes off to find out what happened, coming across an overturned caravan in the process. There's spilled wine that someone trod through, which smells strongly enough to leave a trace.
We have seen in previous footage how Geralt uses his senses to detect smells and follow paths of blood in the wilderness, and here is the same. He uses this new information to track down the frightened townsfolk, who are hiding in a cave from a giant Royal Wyvern. Fortunately you're there, and are just the person to take it on.
Check out the new footage below and remember, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases on May 19 for Xbox One, PC, and PS4. Sharpen your swords... both of them.
