Wargaming has just finished updating their military sim title World of Tanks. Update 9.6 may not be adding a lot of game changing new content, but it is a solid little patch that longtime fans should welcome wholeheartedly.
The Week In Games: Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Homeworld And More
Which is not to say you are not getting some new toys in the game. Two new premium tanks are joining the roster, the French Medium tier VIII AMX Chasseur de chars and the Japanese Medium tier VIII the STA-2. The French vehicle is very fast, one of the speediest in the game, and but makes up for this swiftness with a low armor rating. "It's best to drive the CDC as a classically defined medium tank: sniping and support rather than head-on fighting, and picking up the slack in scouting when needed," the site advises. The STA-2 is a damage dealer that rewards patient and supportive play.

Tank Destroyers have also gotten a few modifications that have made them more team-dependent, such as reduced view range for lower level versions (which had been exploited by very canny players). The reduction has allowed lower level vehicles a better fighting shot against Destroyers.
A wealth of tanks have also gotten the HD treatment. Players can log in and check out the shiny new skins for the Lowe (pronounced Loo-vah), Ferdinand, Tiger (P), T 95, Object 704 and the AMX 50-B.
The update has also flattened out several maps, removing the holes and divets that may have caused inconveniences and nuisances to players. Expect a flatter, more frenetic battle on Prokhorovka, Redshire and Steppes maps. The Mines map has also been slightly adjusted, creating a more equal ascent to the top of the hill for both teams.
Lakeville and Sand River have been added to the list of Team Battle maps.
New reserves have also been added to Strongholds. your Clan's map can now include two new buildings that produce new and devastating Reserves: Artillery Strike and Airstrike. Read up on how these new resources will work HERE.
Additionally, crews may now be repurposed to fit your needs. "No more wasted talent among the ranks in your Garage -- now, Crew members can have their qualifications changed to your liking. Drivers can become Commanders, Loaders can be Gunners, heavy tank specialists can move to light tanks, and so on."
And finally, a new social log-in feature allows you to hop into the fray via Facebook.
See you out on the field, soldier. Watch the update video below.
