The award season is officially over, so we can now stop thinking about the past in all things and moving towards the future. That includes the realm of video games, as well. February begins to thaw and with it, the cold and bitter wasteland that we have endured since the end of November last yer.
Humble Bundle Square Enix Deal Sets Aim At Hitman
In fact, it's been so cold that many of this week games were delayed from earlier in the month.
So, what does the emergent sun plan on shining down on us this week? Let us count the ways.
Dear Lord, That's A Lot Of Evolve Played During The First Week
February 24:
The big title this week is most assuredly Dragon Ball Xenoverse, the next gen debut of the over-the-top, utterly ridiculous and endless power up title - err, fighting game arrives after a short delay onto PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 tomorrow, February 24. The PC version drops a bit later this week, on Friday, February 27.
Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires [PS4, Xbox One] - another game that was delayed (this one by a month), and hopefully for the better. The latest entry into the venerable (and somewhat unchanging) hack and slash franchise brings you everything you love about the series, along with some fun new customization features. If it ain't broke, there's no need to fix it.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 - Episode 1 [Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3] - after a week's delay for "polishing and gameplay optimization", the next entry in the horror series final hits shelves. Take up arms as Claire Redfield and members of the Burton clan as you once again find yourself trapped in a remote location in a building that is doing its best to kill you. The PC version drops on Wednesday, February 25, with each of the three remaining episodes hitting once every week.
Limbo [PS4] - the macabre and stunningly beautiful sidescroller comes to glorious life on the PlayStation 4 at last. You probably already own it on multiple platforms, but what's one more really when the game is just this good?
February 25:
Homeworld: Remastered [PC] - I lied. This is the big game of the week for those in the know. Gearbox has taken the classic space RTS series and given it a brand new polish and wealth of new features. Features both the original, the sequel and all applicable DLC and expansions. We're all excited for the Borderlands next gen editions, but this is the one we're most eager to see in action. Official Site.
That should keep you busy for some time now. See you next week!
