Gold status means that the game has gone out to be mass produced. Any further changes between now and release date will be addressed in a Day One update.
The massive title, which features eight playable races, seven unique and varied planes of existence and over 400 different spells, and a near infinite number of playstyles, is now currently available via Steam Early Access.

Developer Wastelands Interactive has also announced a partnership with Polish company Teyon that will bring Worlds of Magic to PS4. This will mark the debut of the 4X genre onto Sony's next gen platform. Nor will the game be whittled down and ported as an incomplete version; the entirety of the strategy will be brought over to the PS4 as it appears on the PC.
"Up until now our company has been focused on the publishing and development of Premium games for Nintendo platforms (like this week's newly available Excave). We are very happy to announce that Worlds of Magic will be our first release on PlayStation 4. The game is spectacular and fits the console perfectly." - said Michał Tatka, Teyon S. A. CEO.
No release date has been set for the PS4 version at this time.
Nor is it a small task they do. 4X games are very deep affairs, the James Joyce of video gaming, you need to manage a multitude of characters, resources, bases, armies, trade routes, nearly everything imaginable. It is a test for even seasoned PC players, and they have a lot more buttons to deal with. It will be interesting to see how the console version plays out.
If eXploring, eXpanding, eXploiting and eXterminating seems right up your alley, then you can pick up the Early Access version of Worlds of Magic right now. The full release will drop on March 19.
