Nothing could be more true about the popular endless runner platforms. Like the ever present horizon, there is an end somewhere, but you will never reach it and it remains a goal: elusive, eternally out of reach. Something to aim at.
So it makes sense that the man, the myth, the Dragon himself Bruce Lee is now an available character in the hit endless running title Temple Run 2 from Imangi Studios. From the official press release, "Players can harness Bruce Lee's swift and agile athleticism to blast by obstacles, earn points, and escape the frightening Demon Monkey."

The only problem, however, is that Bruce Lee doesn't run from a fight. And he certainly won't be running from a demon monkey. The dude is so fast, they had to slow down the camera footage so audiences could see what he was doing. You think a monkey is going to stop him?
Bruce Lee is integrated into Temple Run 2 with the support of Shannon Lee, Bruce's daughter and executor of his estate. "I'm very excited to have my father become part of the Temple Run family. It's apropos the character will launch in 2015, which just happens to be his 75th birthday year!" said Shannon Lee, CEO of Bruce Lee, LLC. "Not only is this a great and fun way to celebrate my father's birthday, but I'm grateful that my father's legacy will continue to live on for fans of all ages via our partnership with Imangi."
The game will even espouse some of Bruce's legendary philosophy to players at various times.
Do you know there are kids today that don't know who Bruce Lee is? The creator of Jeet Kune Do! The man who brought martial arts to western culture. So, if playing Temple Run 2 is what gets them to watch Enter The Dragon, then I am all for it.
Temple Run 2 is available for iOS, Google Play, Windows and Amazon devices.
