Natsume is bringing free content to Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley on 3DS, marking the first DLC for the franchise.
Xbox Live Is Having A Big Sale On EA Games
The publisher announced today that the series-first is available now free of charge, and adds much-requested new costumes and hair styles to the game. Both the female and male protagonists will receive three new outfits and a new hair cut, which can be accessed by using the dresser.
"We made a promise with Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley that we would continue to innovate and listen to our fans and their feedback, and by providing the first-ever DLC for a Harvest Moon game, we are keeping that promise," said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO at Natsume. "January's additions are only the beginning...we are excited to bring fans a variety of new content to shape their valleys in new ways in the coming months."

Hats off to Natsume for making the DLC free, as well--those cosmetic additions are easily the sort of additions publishers could charge for. Listening to fan feedback and improving the game is a positive in itself--offering updates at no cost is even better. If those comments are anything to go by, too, there's plenty more to come for the title. Not all of it may be free, but as always, fans are more receptive if pricing remains reasonable.
