At today's Gearbox Panel at the inaugural PAX South, 2K and Gearbox Software announced the third add-on content for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. The Lady Hammerlock Pack stars Aurelia Hammerlock, Sir Hammerlock's sister, who's a stone-cold killer.
Sir Hammerlock was first featured in Borderlands 2 and he eventually got his very own special DLC pack with Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, which takes place on a swampy continent named Aegrus and has the Vault Hunters acquring rare animals for him for research.
He wasn't playable but Lady Hammerlock will be. She's a hunter who likes killing animals, especially rare ones that her brother intended to study, cause that's the kind of lady she is.
She's heading to the moon of Pandora because she's bored, and has heard that's there a lot of things there to kill Her action skill- Cold As Ice- reflects her look and personality, and throws out a "Frost Diadem Shard" that homes in on enemies and attaches to them, dealing constant cryo damage. If the enemy dies it moves onto the next one, and so on and so forth.
As with every other character she has three unique skill trees to rank up in. Here's a look at her Cold Money skill tree, which focuses on ice damage and has a skill that lets you use cryo damage to any gun.
One other tree, Huntress, is all about sniping, and gives a skill that rewards accuracy with massive critical hit bonuses for consecutive hits. Contractual Aristocracy is her third tree, which turns a co-op former friend into a sevent, and earns her bonuses for their kills.
As recently revealed, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will soon be coming to next-gen platforms as part of the Handsome Collection, which not only includes Borderlands 2 but all the DLC available for both games, which presumably includes this. Good on those Xbox One and PS4 owners who were able to wait on picking this up!
Owners of the current version can pick up the Lady Hammerlock Pack on January 27 for $9.99, or as part of the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass, which gives you all four add-on packs as they are released for $29.99, essentially giving you one for free.
See you on Elpis.
