Well, then mark this day as the day of your transcendence. 2K Games and Gearbox have announced Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, which will bring both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! to next-gen systems for the very first time!
The collection hits PS4 and Xbox One on March 24 and will include Every. Single. Piece. Of DLC. Fifty in all, including all campaign add-ons, character customizations and oh so many weapon packs. I know what you're thinking, you don't want to play through the whole game again because who has time to constantly run back and forth over a vast, endless nothing? The Handsome Collection saves you the trouble by allowing cross-save functionality between last and current gen, so you can take your save file from the 360 and transfer it to the Xbox One.
This will only work between the old and new systems; therefore you can't transfer files between a PS3 and Xbox One.
You get all of that, and a support for 4-player split screen. Because maybe you might actually invite your friends over one of these days. I know, madness, right?
But wait, there's more! Gearbox is also creating a limited, 5,000 unit run of the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition, which includes not only the game and 12 unique lithograph character sheets, but also a genuine, functional Claptrap robot for you to command with your iOS or Android phone (via the appropriately named ClaptrApp).
The robot comes with a gyroscopic wheel so he can balance himself, a robust library of phrases that it can shout out at you and working camera that allows you to see what Claptrap sees through your phone.
All of that can be yours for $399 at participating retailers in North America. Steep? Yes. Worth it for the robot alone? Absolutely.
The Handsome Collection hits March 24. Watch the announcement trailer below!
