While the game is eminently more playable than it was at launch, Halo: The Master Chief Collection still has a lot to improve on. Fortunately, another update is set to hit this weekend, and new playlists have been added today.
Huge Dark Souls 2 Patch Announced Ahead Of Scholar Of The First Sin Content
There's a good core game underneath the need for UI fixes, settings changes, and playlist tweaks, and 343 is addressing these issues slowly. The next update will come in two parts: today, Team Hardcore and Halo 4 playlists have been added to Matchmaking, but the game and UI fixes will have to wait until this weekend.
"Our next content update is now targeting a late weekend release in order to conduct additional testing. This content update will include improvements to UI, Matchmaking, game-specific multiplayer items, controls, and more. We'll continue to post updates via this thread, and provide full patch notes once the update has cleared the certification process."
The Long Dark Sells 250,000 Copies Through Steam Early Access
The new Team Hardcore playlist integrated today currently includes only Halo 2 Classic game types, with Halo 3 maps and competitive gametypes coming in the future. Other playlists such as Doubles and Team Snipers are in the works as well, but 343 will (as always) watch the usage statistics and player feedback to determine which playlists stick around permanently.
"Late weekend" release for the next update could mean we're waiting as long as Sunday, which is unfortunate for fans desperate for improvement. It's been a while since the last patch focusing on fixes--hopefully, this one makes a marked difference in Matchmaking.
