The team over at Turtle Rock is ramping up for tomorrow's Evolve beta for Xbox One. To give you a taste of things to come, they've released the trailer and details for the fourth monster you and your band of hunters will (hopefully) be subduing when the game hits in less than a month.
DOA Being DOA: New Schoolgirl Fighter Honoka Joins The Roster
Introducing the Behemoth. Named with the help of fans, the rocky crag of a monster was "literally made as large as we could make him." While the big guy can't run or jump, he can roll - as evidenced in the latest trailer, which has him chasing after Griffin in a playful homage to Raiders of the Lost Ark (complete with almost losing the hat). He's basically a giant rolling boulder of destruction and if that wasn't bad enough, he can summon rock walls, toss lava bombs, grab you from afar with his Tongue Grab and can literally rend the earth it twain.
Basically, he's the worst parts of the Bible.

He sounds like so much fun to play!
While the various modes and pre-order/pre-purchase specifics are so confusing that they require their own in-depth blog post (gone are the days of 'buy the game, it's yours'), the DLC is another matter. "There's nothing that pisses me off more than useless DLC," says Turtle Rock Studios Creative Director, Phil Robb. "It's got to mean something - it's got to add something significant to the game...and that's what we're shooting for with our upcoming Hunters and Monsters."
With that in mind, all future DLC MAPS will be free forever. The in-development Monsters and Hunters, however, will be paid DLC packages. The official blog post states that while players who do not purchase the new characters will not be able to play as those characters, they will be able to play with those characters.
The Evolve Hunting Season Pass contains four new Hunter characters (one from each class), as well as three new Monster skins (Magma Goliath, Magma Kraken and Magma Wraith.) and will only cost you $24.99.
