We absolutely guarantee that it is once again safe to travel into the great unknown. Why else would SEGA call the third Alien: Isolation DLC Pack 'Safe Haven'?
Alien: Isolation Leads The Charge In The Writer's Guild Award Noms
The new content update introduces the new Salvage Mode to the single-player challenge Survivor, in which players must complete a list of ten tasks - finding supplies, closing doors, etc - to win. To do so, you will assume the role of Hughes, the Sevatstopol's chief of communications.
During the initial game, the wily survivor locked himself below decks and avoided the horrors that befell the rest of the crew. Now, he has to brave the carcass of the ship, complete with robots and aliens, utilizing only his wits and his communication skills.

"With only one life to play with, each challenge accepted brings with it a new objective and enemy type where one wrong move can, quite literally, be your last. Completing challenges unlocks rewards and points, giving access to new items to collect and craft. Should players score enough points, they can be traded for a save slot at the expense of their final score and position on Alien: Isolation's leaderboards." So tread carefully, lives - and high scores - are on the line.
All five DLC packs are available via the season pass for $29.99, the Safe Haven pack can be bought individually for $7.99. The remaining two updates will be released in February and March, though hopefully SEGA has more planned for the future. Alien: Isolation is just too good to not want to return to over and over again.
