Awesome Games Done Quick 2015, a charity event of gaming speedruns, wrapped up yesterday with one of the greats. Participant Runnerguy2489 completed the first three dungeons of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in about an hour and a half, and he did it without being able to see a thing.

Blindfold runs are a sight to behold (get it?), and this Ocarina of Time attempt is really impressive. Using memorization along with a series of glitches and audio cues, Runnerguy2489 methodically moved through one of the greatest games of all time with cold calculation. There some not-so-exciting sections, but much of what you'll see is pretty stunning. I have no idea how you begin to learn and remember all of those tricks and the order you need to do them in without being able to see where you are--regular speedruns are difficult enough. There's some mistakes (pulling it off perfectly live in front of a crowd would be insane), but it makes the methodology all the more interesting. Watch and be amazed!
