The discounted games range throughout many years and genres, so there's undoubtedly something to interest you. Steam's sales have a reputation for tormenting the wallets of gamers everywhere, but it should be reason to celebrate--let's look at what's on tap for today.
It's an interesting mix, with no real pattern or commonality between many of the games on sale--but that's all good. Child of Light is available for $5.99, while ARMA II is on sale for $29.99. As I said, I know: pretty different. The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings is just $2.99, and if you have not played that game, you owe it to yourself to do so for that price.

Arguably the most well-done Early Access title The Forest is on sale for $10.04, and it will be updated and added to very consistently. Lichdom Battlemage is $9.99, and Wasteland 2 is $19.99. Final Fantasy VII, a port of the well-known fan favorite, is $5.99 if you'd like to own it on PC. The deals are rounded out by Metal Slug 3 for $2.39 and Lethal League for $6.99.
The Flash Deals are pretty great today, with offers for Spec Ops: The Line, Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition, Sherlock Homes: Crimes and Punishments, Overlord 2, Pixel Piracy, and Pandora First Contact. Those will refresh into new deals in about 11 hours, while the daily deals change tomorrow at 1 p.m. EST. The Holiday sale will be ending January 2.
