Marvel is premiering a series of shows that will be Netflix exclusives. The series will start with Daredevil followed up by Marvel's A.K.A Jessica Jones. Marvel has just released that it has cast the role of Luke Cage for the series.
The Role of Jessica Jones Finds a Face in New Netflix Series
Mike Colter will be taking up the role of superhero Luke Cage, Marvel has announced. He will be staring opposite of Krysten Ritter who will be playing title character Jessica Jones. Luke Cage is a pivotal character in Jessica's life and has a huge impact on her.
Luke Cage first appeared way back in 1972 in his own book Luke Cage, Hero for Hire. He has super human strength and impenetrable skin. In the comics, he is married to Jessica Jones but that's probably not going to be the case in the show.
